Located in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Deia is a charming town with a touch of magic. Here are the top 5 can't miss restaurants in Deia, Mallorca, Spain:
Restaurante Miró
This experience was truly special, and the cuisine was among the finest during our entire two-week journey in Spain. Learn more about our top dinner in Deia here.
2. Bistro Rullan
This unsuspecting bistro was something we stumbled upon while walking down Deia‘a main street. We ordered fresh lemonade and orange juice, and had the ham croquets with romesco sauce, along with olives and dips with bread. This was my first time ordering croquets, and was the first of many on our trip. I also ordered the Gató, (which I talk more about in my Restaurante Miró Review), and this almond cake is now my favorite cake in the world. My husband and I were shocked at the quality of this surprise stop, and it became one of our favorite spots in Deia.
3. Restaurant Nama
Nama had one of the best views of the Tramuntana mountains with modern Asian cuisine. While we loved the food, we could not get over the view. I also could have had 1,000 of the spring rolls.
4. Ca’s Patró March
This famous location was featured in The Night Manager and is very hard to get a reservation for. The location can’t be beat. I have laid out this experience in detail, including how to secure a spot and find the restaurant (which was also an adventure). Read more about it here.
5. Xelini Tapas
Upon our arrival in Deia after a tiring day of traveling, we were in search of a quick meal to help us overcome jet lag. We found the perfect spot where we were promptly seated outdoors on a patio we had all to ourselves (we soon realized that Americans dine much earlier). Our order consisted of fresh grilled vegetables, a potato omelette (a dish we came to appreciate in Spain), and our first sip of Mallorcan fresh orange juice. While it may not have been our top choice in Deià, it was exactly what we needed on our first night.
